Sorry for such a long time between posts. I've either been too sick or having too much fun in Mexico to post my trials and tribulations. Cancun was a lovely stop for 2 days, one of which rained and the other I took the crazy busses around Cancun to see the sights. The busses drove at breakneck speeds, mainly with the door open and barely stopped moving to let you embark or disembark. But for only 75cents Australian per ride you get what you paid for.
The rest of the 5 days I was in Cancun resulted in me being bed bound with a case of salmonella poisoning. Not what you want on holidays but a $1350aud trip to the doctors at 0200 Saturday morning for some drips and antibiotic injections set me on the path to recovery, albeit very slowly. Luckily it only cost me $200aud in excess with my travel insurance, so for anyone out there thinking of travelling overseas, insurance is a must.
