Hi,
On the way back from Astana (see video tab, 90mins straight of turbulence, the worst I have ever experienced), I broke up the journey and had 3 nites in this beautiful city. I took a 2 hour Danube river cruise for about $30 Aussie dollars and had a nice ice cold free Beer (first alcoholic drink of the trip) whilst watching the sunset and the lights turn on around the many monuments, bridges and buildings lining the waterway. It also had an awesome 3 piece band playing music (see video tab) on board and I don't believe I could've had a more fun time if I'd tried. Also in the video tab is a video of the bells chiming at the church in the pic gallery below. As well, the last few pics are from a stopover in Berlin on my way to Brussels, where I decided to head to IKEA for lunch, but nearly got washed away. The metro in Budapest is looking a bit old, but still not as dodgy looking as the "low cost" carrier section of the Budapest airport, which is just a thinly veiled, un-airconditioned shed on the airport apron, a good 500m walk from the main terminal. Jeez the things I do to save a buck.
Talk soon
