Hi all,

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I spent the day exploring Brussels and went to another Cirque Du Soleil show as my present to myself. Here are the few pics I took. The little boy peeing into the fountain is called Manneken Pis and there is also a corresponding girl fountain called Jeanneke Pis, which I didn't find but you can imagine (or google) what that one looks like. The beautiful buildings surrounding the town square were awesome in the daylight, as the last time I had the pleasure of being in Brussels I saw them all lit up at night.

Now to the bad birthday present, unfortunately due to the change from summer to spring, daylight savings stopped, so I was 90mins late for my flight to Sofia, Bulgaria. So at this very moment I'm writing this ensconced in a private room for two nites waiting to catch the next flight out for Sofia. I manged to use the free cancellation on the $20 aud hostel I had booked for 2 of the 3 nites I had planned to stay in Sofia and replaced them with the $120 aud private hotel room in Brussels for the next 2 nites. The new flight cost me $50 aud, so all up a time change blunder cost me $170 aud, but I still have my health, so I can't complain. However the main disappointment was missing out on taking the cheapest flight ever, at just $4.50 aud from Brussels to Sofia with Wizz, such a shame!
