San Antonio 2nd Visit

Hi,

I flew from NYC to Dallas to go to a couple of six flags theme parks in Texas. I had booked a return bus trip from Dallas to San Antonio for $3 from Megabus but the flight in arrived at 0900 and the bus didn't leave till 1700, so rather than wasting the day, I hired a car and drove the four hours to San Antonio. I'm so glad I did, because normal Highway speeds in the USA are 65-70 Miles an hour (that's 105-112 kangaroos an hour for us aussies). However in Texas (because everything is bigger in Texas) there is one toll road that has the highest (and the only one in the USA) speed limit posted on any road in the USA at 85 miles an hour (that's 137 koalas an hour for us aussies). It's crazy and you know what, people were still over taking me even at those speeds, ridiculous, but also a bit of fun. The theme park i went to was Six Flags Fiesta and was located in a disused quarry basin and the rides and decorations used the walls for the tracks and fake water fall effects. It was quite a good park but stinking hot as no breeze manged to get down into the caldera. Luckily my six flags season pass gives me free soft drinks so I alternated between diet cokes, water and powerade, keeping my fluids up and made sure I wore my hat as pictured
