Chicago to Canada Bus Trip

Hi all

I took the Greyhound from Chicago to Detroit and stopped in Kalamazoo on the way. I also saw an ingenious alternative to a suitcase whilst waiting for the bus. I must say it is more durable than other methods I have seen utilized more than once on this trip. After a half hour wait to change buses in Detroit we set off to go through the Detroit-Windsor tunnel. It took us all of 2 minutes to get from the USA to Canada and then we all had to hop off the bus and plead our case to the border officials to get our passports stamped. Finally having cleared customs i made it into the land of maple syrup, Mounties and free healthcare. The first unique food I saw that I wanted to eat was maple bacon flavored popcorn with real chunks of bacon, yum. I can't wait to try the rest of the Canadian cuisine
