Milwaukee

Hi All

Sorry for the last few weeks of lacklustre posts about towns that I went to but didn’t see much except the ceiling in my motel room due to the cold climate and laziness. This post however, you are in for a treat because I braved the temperatures as shown in the second pic (yes that really says it felt like -1 deg C at 2130 when I arrived at my motel last nite). Luckily it got up to 8 deg C but feels like 6 deg C during the day today so I could brave going out. I initially wanted to go to Milwaukee to drink the breweries dry on their tours, however my doctors and I decided it was a good idea to make this a dry trip. Luckily, I found out that Milwaukee is the birthplace of Harley Davidson and their museum had half price Tuesdays, so for $10 US I had a look around at some vintage and classic bikes. The hotel beside the museum was aptly named too. Also, I found out that something as cool as Harley Davidson motorcycles was once owned by the same people who owned something as daggy as ten pin bowling centres and that Harley Davidson produced push bikes, scooters, golf buggies, snow mobiles and boats. It was an awesome day, I’m back in bed now posting this and I hope you enjoy all the pictures. I’m headed off to the bus station in the morning at 0400 (brass monkey o’clock) to go to Detroit (ford museum pics to come) via a 5 hr stopover in Chicago (I will be eating all the Chicago deep dish pizza I can in 5 hrs).

Talk soon

David

PS: Mum, I did go to a market as pictured but everything was too expensive sorry. Does walking past fruit and vegies count towards my daily dietary intake?
