This was just a quick 12hr layover in Orlando because instead of paying $75 with greyhound to go from Tallahassee direct to Atlanta, I saved money and paid $25 to go to Orlando on the greyhound and then $10 on mega-bus for two seats on the over-nite service to Atlanta saving $35 and the cost of a nights accommodation. Mainly this post is to tell you of the horror ride on the greyhound from Tallahassee to Orlando I had. First while waiting at the Tallahassee greyhound station for the bus i noticed there were 3 Florida corrections officers with prisoners ready to hop on my bus (ironically these guys were the best part of the trip). The bloke in the seat behind me snored the whole 5hr journey. The bus was late so no rest stops, only drop-offs and pickups for 5hr straight so that people could make their connections in Orlando. Halfway through i got a seat mate who was genuinely crazy. She had bags of junk filling my side of the seat, kept putting her manky coat on my arm, talking to herself constantly for the 2 1/2 hr remainder of the trip and writing insane gibberish to herself (see if you can read her hand writing). To top it off another passenger hops up to go to the loo and on the way back face plants it on the floor. The bus pulls over, sheriff comes, fire/rescue comes, EMS comes, 15mins later him and his luggage are off the bus and on the way to the ER. Turns out he has preexisting heart issues and had a bad turn. It was an eventful trip but i made safe and sound, albeit with both my feet asleep. Went to the movies to kill time and then went to the 2355 bus to Atlanta.
